The highly-anticipated IRCC streams that are set to start on May 06th, 2021 will see immigrants who fall into the categories of essential healthcare workers, other essential workers and international students and graduates be able to fill over 90,000 spaces for new immigrants to be accepted.
For a limited time, the IRCC will launch these unique immigration pathways along with an application guide on their website. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada released the new information after meeting with the Canadian Bar Association’s representatives. In this way, immigration lawyers and consultants can be better able to assist skilled worker and international student or graduate applicants.
The entire meeting was a result of regularly scheduled meetings with the federal government to advise immigration lawyers across Canada about how the IRCC’s changes can affect their clients and impact the immigration system. It also provides updates as to the number of immigrants being allowed into Canada including international graduates, international students and skilled workers.
Candidates will be allowed to immediately upload their documents and submit their applications for a limited time as the amount of workers needed is also stipulated. Immigration lawyers and consultants are set to assist new possible federal skilled workers with these unique PR streams.
The quotas set out by the federal government that the IRCC has set for the maximum number of PR applicants for approval for 2021 is as follows:
The federal government has stated that certain documents would be necessary but more information will become available once the applications are live on the IRCC’s website.
Immigration lawyers and consultants however, would have in-depth knowledge of what is already required by their clients and be ready to make the applications before PR spaces are filled or time runs out. Family members may also be able to apply alongside PR candidates depending on what the federal government allows for each stream. Altogether, skilled workers, international students and graduates are encouraged to apply before these PR pathways are filled.
For more information and assistance, an experienced attorney or immigration consultant may be the best person to assist candidates with this PR application as the streams are new, unique and for a limited period only.
