TEMPORARY PUBLIC POLICIES

You may qualify for the permanent resident pathway even as a temporary resident under one of six streams

Published by Hillfield Immigration on 12th July, 2021

The temporary resident to permanent resident pathway is a limited-time pathway to permanent residency; it is for certain temporary residents who are currently working in Canada and their families. You may be suitable for permanent residency if you have work experience in Canada in an essential occupation or the health or health services field, or if you recently graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Although there are 6 streams in this pathway, it comes with application limits. The first three accept both English and French-speaking applicants. For workers in Canada in health care – 20,000 applications will be accepted, in essential non-health care – that number is 30,000; and for recent international graduates from a Canadian institution 40,000 applicants.

The other three are specifically for French speakers. For French-speaking workers in Canada under health care; essential non-health care; and French-speaking recent international graduates from a Canadian institution the number of applications that will be accepted is unlimited.

Our certified representative can help you discover if you are qualified to apply; by selecting each stream to grasp if you meet the admissibility criteria, answering some questions, and appraising the comprehensive requirements, as each stream has different eligibility stipulations.

As with other immigration programs, our expert consultant at Hillfield Immigration will continue to provide guidance and assist clients as they navigate all aspects of the demands of this pathway. Our qualified representative will help prepare the forms and supporting documents required by candidates for the immigration decision.

This can be a complicated process, so let our authorized representative make sure you’re eligible. We can assist in applying, creating your account and document checklist, downloading forms, getting your fingerprints and photo taken, ensuring your fees are paid on time and submitting your application.

If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo (biometrics) for every application for permanent residence you submit. This applies even if you gave your biometrics in the past and they’re still valid. There is a time limit for this process, so do not delay, contact our office to speak with our confidential legal professional about getting started as soon as possible on your application.

To submit your application you need to be in Canada to apply. If you try to access the online application with an IP address from outside Canada, you might get an error message. Avoid processing delays with your submission. Our professional consultant at Hillfield Immigration can help with your request.
